Hello Elkdom –

These are my last words of wisdom I will share with you, as my time as ER has come to an end. I would like everyone to know it has been a pleasure leading Elyria Lodge 465, and it has been an experience I will never forget. I’m happy with everything we got done during my year, I wish it could have been more. I have so many people to thank for all of the help with events , functions & parties. My officers and trustee`s, not forgetting all of the volunteers who stepped up to help make Elks functions unforgettable. THANK YOU! Big shout out to Tony & Sue and the entire Super Bowl Team for a great events, food, & spirits. If anyone interested in joining , please contact Tony regarding a chance to get on a board. My year is ending but going forward let`s make the next year better & greater then one I’m leaving. As a group we can achieve anything that we set forth and endeavor to accomplish.Good luck to Brian McDougal, I`m here for advice and listening. May your problems be few and your fun abound.

Hello Elkdom,

As we turn the page into 2023 , I received a knee injury & limping!! My hope is that everyone has a great and prosperous 2023. We are still hoping some people will step forward and consider being an officer or a trustee. We need fresh ideas and new faces. If you are interested, please contact Tom Breno or Brian McDougal.I’m also sending out good vibes for everyone’s Super Bowl Squares. Hoping the Bengals can bring a Super Bowl Win to Ohio. Lastly I would like to thank everyone who has supported Elks Charities. We have had a great year. We have so much money going to our local charity. I`m so proud of all your generosity, Bless You All.

Blessed Holiday Season. The end of year is
approaching very fast. Old Man Winter made
Christmas with Family & Friends a challenge. Gina
& Myself hope you had a Happy & Joyful Day with
you Family & Loved Ones.
Much fun is coming in the month of January.
Casino Night, the Grand Raffle, & District Bowling.
Be Sure you get Raffle Tickets which are behind the
Bar.
With a heavy heart PER, Tim Barr will be no
longer Bartending after 30 years of slinging drinks to
Friends & Family. He will be truly missed!! “Thanks T”.
To All Lodge Members , with the New Year approaching the Elks,
we have openings for Trustee`s (2) & Officers (4). If you truly want to
share & care please get involved. You can contact Brian McDougal or
Tom Breno. Our Club is only what we make it to be!!
I would like to thank all the Family & Friends who attended the
Memorial Service. It was very meaningful for many that had passed &
very dear to Gina & Myself . Thanks you so much!

Happy Holidays Elkdom,
My hopes are that you had a wonderful time with
family and friends on Thanksgiving.
I would like to thank everyone who showed up
to support the P.E.R. Barnyard Party and the
OSU/MI game , this insures that scholarships
applicants will get much needed support for their
movement towards the higher education system
Thanks for all you do!
I would also like to thank Dan Height and his team for HOOP
SHOOT , Great job!! I hope the winner continues on thru to State
Competitions.
Please make sure to check the calendar for upcoming events in
December. We have the Memorial Service, Christmas Gala, Kid’s
Christmas Party plus Member’s Christmas Party.

November is here and the holidays are upon us.
Fall is filled with our beloved Ohio State, and of
course, the Browns, who I hope pull it together soon!
Our lodge is growing stronger, we are initiating 8
new members this month. Membership is the key to
our lodge to support the Elks National Foundation
and CP. Support our Elks with enthusiasm! Elks care,
Elks share!
Our district inspection on October 22 went without
a hitch. Thanks to the officers, trustees and others
that helped.
Please check the calendar, many events are scheduled.

Hello Elkdom,

Let’s welcome fall with a smile and hope for a great holiday season to come. There has been a lot added to the Calendar for the next few months. We have lots of Food, Bingo, Music and Sporting Events. Hope to see you all at the Club. The Dave Noren CP Golf was a little cold & damp but good fellowship and a great turn-out was had by all. Bowling is in full swing now. Anyone interested in joining a league, or want to arrange open bowling contact Larry Camp , myself or any trustee. Don’t forget if you want to rent the bowling alley for a birthday or special event let Kristen know & she will check the calendar. We have lots of child size shoes, kid balls, a ramp and bumpers – FUN FUN ! Trivia/Taco night is 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, and tons of Fun. Come join Tom Breno, organize a team & test your skills!! We are entering October, this means play-off Baseball. The Tribe/Guardians are in again. Look for food & watch parties at the club, I hope to see you there. Don’t forget we are open on Sundays for Browns Games,All bring a dish to share, best of luck in the football squares.

My Fellow Elks –Summer is coming to an end, always goes by so fast. Let’s welcome fall with a smile.

The Browns are back & looking forward to a good Season. Bowling season will be starting soon and we are in need of bowlers. Please contact myself or any bowler if you are interested in joining a league. The North Central District golf outing is posted on the main floor. Get a team together to show them #465 has GAME! Big Thank you to all who came & supported the Officer’s Bingo. Thanks to Judy from Grey Hawk for catering the BBQ. It was enjoyed by all.

Summer seems to be flying by, hope everyone had a great 4th. Gina and I attended Grand Lodge in Atlanta. The convention was great, we really didn’t enjoy Atlanta. There were four changes to the by-laws & they will be posted on the Lodge bulletin board. Christmas in July turned out to be a great event. The AOL did a fantastic job !! We are still looking for any bowlers for the upcoming season in September. Please contact me if interested. Hope to see everyone at the Club before Summer ends.

Temperatures are up finally. Don’t miss upcoming events in July.

Big Shout out to Laura Murray, all officers, Legion Post 12, VFW, & all guests that attended the Flag Day Ceremony. The weather wasn’t that kind for the Blues, Brew, & BBQ Event. The Food & Band was great even if the weather didn’t cooperate. Huge thanks to Daniel, Alec, Phil, Mark, all the Officers and Members that helped to set up & tear down this event. The Band actually killed it along with great Food.

The Memorial Golf outing was well attended & all had a good time. Big Thanks to Dan Linden, Chief & all volunteers that helped to create this great event. Gina and I along with other officers will be attending Grand Lodge in Atlanta GA. I will post any changes that may come about in the August Newsletter.

Hi All –

Good Weather has finally arrived. We have so many great dates planned this Month. I hope to see everyone for the Reverse Raffle on the 11th. Also a great time to be had on the 18th for the Blues, Brew & BBQ Party. A huge shout out to all of the volunteers who did a great job for the Kentucky Derby last month. Thanks to the Rodgers, Brian & Yvonne, and Brian & Brooke. You all did a wonderful job. Mother’s Day also was a wonderful event at the Elks. Our Mother of the Year was Mrs. Leckey. We had a great Brunch. Thank you Phil for the fabulous food & all of your work. I want thank Jerri, Phil and and all Officers and Trustees for a wonderful Mother’s Day service. Mrs. Leckey and whole family congratulations. Also a big shout-out to John Radolec and scholarship committee and all student winners (Good luck) work hard.
